Peanut Drought Risk Zoning in Shandong Province, China

Peanut growth in Shandong Province, a major peanut-producing area China, is greatly affected by drought. The present study uses hierarchical analysis, weighted comprehensive evaluation, and ArcGIS spatial analysis to conduct zoning of peanut drought risk Province based on daily precipitation data for the province acquired from 1991 2020, per capita GDP, planting so as quantify disaster formulate prevention resilience planning accordingly. results show high-drought-risk zone was mainly distributed northwestern part Jiaodong Peninsula, covering 32.4% province. Drought concentrated 20.7% high-vulnerability cities Yantai, Weihai, Linyi, Rizhao, accounting 26.8% total area. low-disaster-prevention low-mitigation-capacity western 38.7% Medium- high-risk areas affecting peanuts were widely distributed, while overall index high, 76.2% Spatial assessment provide basis safe production Province.
